The purpose of this project is to develop minimum specifications and standard drawings for ITS devices deployed in Florida. The specifications created as a result of this effort are provided to the FDOT Specifications Office for review, distribution, comment, final editing, and ultimate inclusion in Florida's Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and Workbook of Implemented Modifications to the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Other project design requirements for ITS deployments have been developed and are included in the FDOT’s Plans Preparation Manual and Design Standards.
The equipment specifications have been arranged into the following groups according to device type:
